Role Description

This is a remote role for a Software Engineer who will help us build and refine our web applications and Chrome extension features. You’ll work in a fast-moving environment and contribute directly to the evolution of a meaningful, user-facing product that impacts millions of job seekers.

The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing new features, optimizing existing functionality, ensuring cross-platform compatibility, and maintaining high code quality standards. This role involves working closely with our design and product teams to translate complex workflows into seamless user experiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
2+ years of experience in software development
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience with modern web development frameworks and tools
Ability to work independently and remotely
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Passion for creating user-centered products
Experience with Chrome extension development is a plus

Technical Skills

Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Experience with modern frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular)
Knowledge of Chrome Extension APIs and development
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies
Understanding of web security best practices
Experience with build tools and package managers (Webpack, npm, yarn)

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Chrome extension features and functionality
Build responsive web applications and user interfaces
Optimize application performance and user experience
Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect UI/UX designs
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions
Debug and resolve technical issues across different platforms
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices
Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap planning
