Role Description

This is a remote role for an Instructional Designer who will create compelling educational content and user guidance materials for our platform. You’ll design intuitive onboarding experiences, help documentation, and training resources that make our tool accessible to job seekers of all technical backgrounds.

The Instructional Designer will be responsible for developing learning strategies, creating multimedia educational content, designing user workflows, and ensuring our platform delivers an exceptional learning experience. This role involves collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to create educational materials that drive user success and engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or related field
2+ years of experience in instructional design or educational content development
Strong understanding of learning theories and adult learning principles
Experience designing onboarding and user education experiences
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and remotely
Experience with user experience (UX) design principles
Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design
Portfolio demonstrating successful educational content creation

Technical Skills

Proficiency with content creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma)
Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms
Knowledge of video production and editing software
Familiarity with interactive content creation tools (Articulate, Storyline, Rise)
Experience with user testing and feedback collection methods
Knowledge of analytics tools for measuring learning effectiveness
Understanding of SCORM and xAPI standards
Experience with survey and assessment creation tools
Knowledge of screen recording and tutorial creation software

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop intuitive user onboarding experiences and tutorials
Create comprehensive help documentation and knowledge base articles
Develop interactive learning paths and guided tours for new users
Design multimedia educational content including videos, infographics, and interactive guides
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to integrate educational elements into the platform
Conduct user research to identify learning needs and pain points
Create assessment tools to measure user understanding and platform adoption
Ensure all educational content meets accessibility standards and best practices
Analyze user behavior data to optimize learning experiences
Maintain and update existing educational content based on user feedback
Develop training materials for customer support and sales teams
